Frequently Asked Questions
Is the GSRC only for LGBTQIA+ communities or for women/fem individuals?
No! The GSRC is a space for everyone in our campus community who is committed to advancing our mission of affirming queer, trans, women, and fem Princetonians. While many of our efforts provide direct support to women, fem, queer, and trans individuals, we offer programming and educational opportunities for all Princeton students.
As a prospective undergrad or graduate student, how can I learn what campus life is like at Princeton for queer, trans, women, and fem communities?
The GSRC staff can answer questions you may have about the University and surrounding communities, as well as connect you to a current student to have a conversation or email exchange. Email Center staff at gsrc@princeton.edu for more information
How do I connect with Princeton’s LGBTQAIA+ and/or Women’s alumni group?
QPA (formerly BTGALA and the Fund for Reunion) is Princeton’s LGBTQIA+ alumni group, and puts on gatherings and social events all around the country. Check out QPA’s website to learn more.
Princeton Women’s Network (PWN) - The Alumni Association seeks to support Princeton women and alumnae and non-binary alumni initiatives. Join a Princeton Women’ Network chapter, or launch a new one, and explore ways to meet and engage fellow Tiger alumnae.
How do I change my name and gender in Princeton’s systems?
Please see the Trans at Princeton resources, which has details on changing your name and gender, as well as provides information on other needs that trans and gender non-conforming students and employees may have.
What do I do if I am questioning my sexuality or gender identity?
The GSRC is here to help! Email gsrc@princeton.edu to talk through what’s on your mind and the resources we have that might help you.
Does the GSRC support asexual and/or aromantic students?

How do I find out what’s going on at the GSRC?
Join our mailing list by heading here! We send out a newsletter a weekly blast to our listserv letting you know what programs are coming up from the GSRC and its partners.
I don’t study LGBTQIA+ and/or feminist issues academically—do I still have a place in the GSRC?
Emphatically YES! There is no one way to engage with our space and access our resources. The GSRC’s resources, programs, and community are open to all who are interested in engaging with us.
If you are not sure how you want to engage with the Center, we recommend you join our mailing list to receive our calendar of events weekly and/or reach out to the GSRC at gsrc@princeton.edu
