About Princeton QT-Con
The Princeton University Gender + Sexuality Resource Center will be hosting Princeton Queer + Trans Conference (QT-Con) from October 23 - 26, 2025. Princeton QT-Con is a conference that highlights academic knowledge, lived experiences, passion projects, and creative works that celebrate queer and trans perspectives.
Princeton QT-Con is intentionally designed to drive Princeton's mission of establishing an environment that welcomes, supports, and engages students, faculty, and staff with diverse backgrounds and experiences. Everyone is welcome to attend and present at QT-Con!
In centering the university's commitment to preparing students for lives of service, civic engagement, and ethical leadership, we are especially excited to invite students, faculty, and staff from other New Jersey universities and community members from local non-profits to attend QT-Con. Any questions about QT-Con can be directed to Alex Rosado-Torres at ar7342@princeton.edu Continuing in our mission to build bridges between our home university and other New Jersey higher ed institutions, we are grateful to the Emma Bloomberg Center for Access and Opportunity for sponsoring an Aspiring Scholars & Professionals Intern to work with the GSCR on QT-Con.

About QT-Con 2025
The four essential goals of QT-Con are to share knowledge, build community, create joy, and support well-being. Annually, QT-Con identifies a theme that unifies the way we explore these goals. During the Fall 2025 QT-Con, our theme will be: "The Stories We Tell: Exploring Queer + Trans Stories Across Place, Space, and Time"
This year we invite individuals to submit conference proposals that explore queer and trans stories across a diversity of places, spaces, and time. Proposals can be submitted for in-person or virtual presentations. We especially encourage proposals that explore questions such as:
What does it mean to be Queer + Trans (QT)? How has this meaning changed (or not) across place, space, and time?
In what ways do space & place shape QT experiences?
What does thriving mean, and what does it look like for QT communities?
What methods can we use to preserve and tell QT stories?
How are stories about QT experiences influenced by our shared past?
How can we connect QT histories and stories to current and future communities?
Conference proposals can be submitted by anyone, regardless of identity, from within and beyond the Princeton University community. We especially encourage conference proposals from undergraduate students, graduate students, Princeton alumni and community partners. Staying true to the spirit of QT-Con, we welcome conference proposals that highlight academic knowledge, lived experiences, passion projects, and creative works that celebrate queer and trans perspectives. Conference proposals do not need to be formal papers.
